As part of the propane dehydrogenation unit the tower had an inner diameter of 10.6 meters, a maximum outer diameter of 12.94 meters, a total height of 113.7 meters, an ex-factory weight of 1545 tons, and a weight of 1774 tons after wearing clothes and hats.
It is the largest and heaviest propylene and propane separation tower in China. The lifting was done by a XGC88000 4000-ton crawler crane that was known as “the world’s first hanging” as the main crane, and 1250-ton crawler cranes were responsible for slipping. The whole process was completed in 6 hours.
