Each railway vehicle has a total weight of 42.5 tonnes and a length of 14.25m, width 3.27m and height of 4.41m. The railway vehicles will be transported from Rheine to Cuxhaven by train, Cuxhaven to Kristiansand by ferry and from Kristiansand to Hokksund by train.They will be used for the construction and maintenance of railway tracks.
The project will continue until mid-2018. VTG Rail Logistics will also handle the transport of some rolling stock from Norway back to the factory in Rheine.
