Last Tuesday, a historic event materialized with the arrival at the Port of Montevideo of the ship Grande Texas, from Grimaldi Group, starting the direct service between Taicang and Montevideo, with a transfer connection to Asuncion.
This new service, with a monthly frequency and a transit time of 37 days, represents a significant advance for the country’s logistics, allowing to reduce transit times, optimize costs and improve the efficiency of commercial flows. It also strengthens the positioning of Montevideo as a strategic hub for Ro/Ro cargo and boosts the Uruguayan automotive export platform.
