Jan Euwema, M-Star’s Business Development Manager had the following to say about the project: “highly critical in this operation was the strict timeframe required by the client: to deliver the goods from the North East of Czech Republic to a laydown area in Mumbai India within 6 weeks time.“
All possible transport modalities were combined to make this happen: exceptional road transport, river barge, heavy-lift vessel, port and floating cranes.
Guided by local police the cargo was transported over the course of several nights from the Czech Republic to Slovakia. Via the river Danube, the parts then sailed to Romania where they were loaded onto a heavy-lift vessel destined for Mumbai, India.
