The rotor weighed a solid 118 tons. The main challenge? The rotor was located 800 meters underground. Liburnia faced tight spatial limitations, with only about 80mm of clearance in the tunnel. Given its height and weight, the rotor couldn’t be laid down for transport, so Liburnia carefully cut the top and bottom shafts (each with a diameter of 900mm) before moving it upright on a Self-Propelled Modular Transporter (SPMT).
