This shipment loaded thru VCTPL (Visakha Container Terminal) was part of a project being delivered by Neptune to consignee’s site in Oman. The heavy lift unit of 37 tons had a challenging dimension of 6.5 meters width.
Neptune proposed the loading of cargo from Vizag port in view of the closer proximity to shippers facility. After evaluating the design of the heavy equipment and review with VCTPL, it was concluded the cargo can be safely shipped using a 40’ Flat Rack container.
VCTPL’s Senior Operations Team planned to perfection the loading operation on mv. Mogral v.007 which sailed from Vizag on 8th January, 2019.
Neptune have been successfully managing ODC cargo from various Indian ports for 2 decades now. Vizag is the fourth port on the East Cost of India, after Chennai, Katupalli and Kolkata wherefrom Neptune has loaded ODC Projects. Regular movements of ODC shipments are being handled by Neptune from Hyderabad , Bangalore and Nagpur via East Coast ports of India and from Delhi, Ahmedabad as well via Nhava Sheva and Mundra.

The BATI Group Project Team welcomed 2019 at the port attending to project operations. BATI got nominated to carry a press machine from Korea to Romania. The shipment was a door-to-door shipment from Pyeongtaek to Pitesti. The press machine and its accessories weighed 185 tons in total with the machine itself weighing 80 tons. The biggest challenge was the lack of time, because the press machine had to be used immediately. Bati cooperated flawlessly with Korea and Romania in order to deliver the machine on time.

Another unique Roll-on and Float-out yacht launch operation took place in Antalya, Turkey. The operation started on a windy week and had to be halted several times because of the extreme weather conditions, the wind gust reaching up to 150 Km/h during night time. With the help of 2 combined linear positioned SMPTs, the 63 meters long yacht weighing 900 tons rolled on into the M/V Rolldock Storm. The Launch was postponed for 4 days because of heavy wind in the southern part of Turkey. After the waiting time, the below photo was taken by Captain Caner Aydın, owner of BATI Group and commercial Agent of Rolldock in Turkey. Special Thanks to our Rolldock operations team for making this happen.

BATI Group planned another shipment from Mexico to Tunisia in January. However, there were some production delays which is why BATI Air chartered half of the project at the same time. The commodity was diesel pumps, which are extremely important for the site in Tunisia. There were 2 pumps of 3 meters and 17 tons, which had to be handled unboxed. Therefore, BATI arranged a flight the same night while arranging all the customs in Mexico. While the time was ticking for the flight crew time limit, BATI finished the customs on the last minute and arranged the flight to take off from Mexico. The shipment took 3 days and was safely delivered to the door in Tunisia.
