BATI Group’s Project Department joins the World Cup in 2022 in Qatar by shipping stadiums from Turkey. A steel structure shipment from Southern Turkey to Qatar is going to be used to build the stadiums that will be used in the World Cup.
The heaviest piece of this door-to-port shipment was 48 tons, measuring 19 meters long.
The biggest challenge was loading the materials due to an imbalanced center of gravity which required spreaders to be produced especially for this unique shipment.
The other challenge was the tight time-frame to transport the cargo to the port due to road restrictions during the 10 day national holiday. BATI Group successfully finished this challenging project by chartering a handy-size vessel.
