On the first week of May, the Brazilian agent ES Logistics delivered another charter flight with an essential pharmaceuticals which are part of a treatment kit for Covid-19 patients and will supply around 200 hospitals countrywide.
ES Logistics was hired to charter four flights which were delivered in two weeks. Airbus A330-900neo were used to transport all the cargo from Lisbon to São Paulo.
According to Mr. Fabiano Ardigó, ES Logistics Director, this project was “very special, temperature controlled and heavily supervised by ANVISA, Brazil’s Public Health Authority”. Once touching ground, the cargo is immediately transferred to cold storage until transported to final destination. This step is vital in order to maintain its quality and stability.
During the pandemic, due to higher availability and affordable costs, chartering passengers planes for cargo transport have been a solid strategy for project forwarders.
