MV “STIDIA” sailed Leixoes on the 19th July with her cargo of structural steelwork for Djelfa combined cycle power plant Project, Algeria.
The project, being developed by Société Algérienne de Production de l’Electricité (SPE), involves the construction of a 1,262MW gas-fired power plant with gas storage facilities, combustion chambers, powerhouses, substations, a cooling tower, access roads and parking facilities, the laying of transmission lines and the installation of gas turbines, generators and other related facilities. Construction activities are presently underway for a scheduled completion in 2018.
The cargo loaded on mv “Stidia” is part of the participation with Martifer, that awarded to Navex the logistics of the project.
