CLC Projects partners Sparber Group, Thunderbolt Global Logistics and American Export Lines arranged a critical delivery for a solar farm project in the USA.
Sparber Group and Thunderbolt Global Logistics are working together on a project in South Carolina.
11 x 40’ HC containers of steel piles needed for initial construction were arranged from China to Long Beach instead of Savannah due to the need for rapid delivery.
Thunderbolt was in charge of arranging customs clearance and delivery. Since the cargo was arriving in Long Beach, Thunderbolt contacted Kasra Ferasat of American Export Lines.
They are CLC Projects members in Los Angeles. They took care of the pick up at the Port of Long Beach and stripping of the 11 containers and then loaded the bundles of steel piles on 11 flat bed trucks. Team drivers were arranged for 8 trucks and single drivers for 3 trucks.
The vessel arrived on Tuesday June 20th. By the evening of June 20th 3 containers were already at American Export Lines warehouse. By June 21st the remaining 8 containers were on site at the warehouse. Kasra’s team worked overtime to have the containers stripped and loaded on trucks. The trucking company that took care of the transportation across the country had drivers ready to drive the 2400 miles (3840 km) across the country. They did a great job.
The cooperation and teamwork was fantastic. Communication was critical and everyone involved provided the necessary information. Thunderbolt kept the receiver and Sparber Group informed every day including weekend phone calls and e-mails.
In the end 2 trucks delivered on Saturday, 6 trucks on Sunday and the remaining 3 on Monday morning. 2 trucks
would have delivered Sunday afternoon but intense thunderstorms caused all unloading to stop at the job site.
All told 11 containers that arrived on Tuesday June 20th were customs cleared, picked up, stripped and delivered across the United States in 6 days.
